- How to participate/Duration of the draw
The Expocam 2023 draw begins on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the opening of the ExpoCam 2023 show, which will be held at Espace Saint-Hyacinthe (2710 Beauparlant Avenue, Saint-Hyacinthe, QC, J2S 4M8)
The closing date for the draw is Saturday, May 27 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. The participant must scan his or her visitor’s pass on at least one of the 5 kiosks located in the exhibition space of Espace Saint-Hyacinthe:
These kiosks are located as follows:
- the 1st kiosk is next to or in the International Trucks booth #1005
- the 2nd kiosk number is next to or in the C.A.T booth #1346
- the 3rd kiosk number is next to or in the kiosk of Harnois Énergies #2717
- the 4th terminal number is next to or in the Point S booth #2038
- the 5th terminal number next to the kiosk #4520
Contest participants must scan their pass at one of the draw kiosks no later than Saturday, May 27, 2023 before 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, to be accepted into the Expocam 2023 draw. No purchase is required to enter the draw. Draw Sponsors become the owner of the information on all passes scanned at their kiosk and will not accept any responsibility for passes not properly scanned at their kiosk. Maximum ONE (1) scanned pass per person per terminal. By participating in this draw, the entrant agrees to abide by these rules and to comply with the decisions of the Sponsors.
- Eligibility
The Expocam 2023 draw is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside at the time of entry. Not eligible to participate in this draw are: employees of the sponsors and their immediate family members who reside with them, their advertising and promotional agencies and ExpoCam 2023 exhibitors.
- Method of awarding the prize
Prizes will be awarded using a software program (random name picker) that will draw the names of the winners, using the unique code from each pass corresponding to the visitors’ names.
The first 5 names drawn will win one of the 5 prizes after correctly answering a skill-testing question.
- The Prize
Five (5) Harnois gasoline gift cards, valued at $500 each, are being raffled. The prize must be accepted as awarded. It cannot be replaced or exchanged for cash. Odds of winning depend on the number of entrants who have scanned their pass by the contest closing date. Sponsors are not responsible for prize merchandise.
- The Draw
The random draw for the prize will be made at approximately 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Newcom Media Quebec Inc. office from among all eligible participants who have scanned their pass during the show.
Sponsors will contact only those individuals whose names are drawn, either by mail, email or telephone within TEN (10) business days of the date of the draw.
The Contest Sponsors will not be responsible for any inaccurate information. If the person whose name was drawn cannot be reached within the said TEN (10) business days, that person will be disqualified and a new random draw will be held from the list of remaining eligible entrants to select an alternate winner. Before being declared a winner, the person whose name was drawn will be required to sign a declaration and release form confirming that he/she has complied with the Official Rules of the Expocam 2023 Draw and authorizing the Contest Sponsors, and their respective agents, to publicize and publish his/her name, address (city and province only) and photograph or likeness at any time, without compensation, if required, for future publicity.
- General Information
All entries become the permanent property of the sponsors of the Expocam 2023 draw. This draw is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. No winner will be required to submit to any test in order to obtain his/her prize; other than complying with the rules contained herein. By participating in this draw, entrants agree to be bound by the official rules and regulations and the decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final, binding and not subject to appeal. All personal information collected will be used by the Sponsors and the Prize Provider at their sole discretion. By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant consents to the collection and use of his/her personal information by the Sponsors and the Prize Provider. The Sponsors will not sell or transmit personal information collected to third parties except for the purpose of administering the Contest. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel any entry into the Contest. For Quebec residents: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. For all other entrants, any litigation must be brought in the City of Toronto, Province of Ontario, Canada.
